Soul Searching

I don't know your situation.

I don't know what you have been through, or what you have seen.

I have no idea what "happiness" means to you.

However,  I was sitting down to lunch today, and the term "soul searching" came up.

"You really need to do some soul searching."

"Ouch" - My Pride

Usually these terms come up in the darkest places of your life.

The gut-wrenching, pit-of-your-stomach times of despair is when these words always seem to appear.

And they don't come alone.  They usually bring bats or brass knuckles to beat you down with.

"You need to find your soul.  It has been misplaced somewhere between Aisle 4 and Aisle 83."

Fortunately for words like "Soul Searching", they also travel with words of encouragement.

"You don't have to be in a 'Change The World' position to change the world.  Everyday people change the world.  Use your talents, overcome your fears, and you will change the world."

Soul Searching doesn't have to flip your world upside down.  It doesn't have to be Earth Shattering.

Doing some "Soul Searching" can just open your eyes.  Give you a different perspective, offer another solution.

Try some soul searching this weekend, and see what you can uncover.

  1. That's what I'm hoping camping will allow me to do. Come on Arizona heat and desert skies...bring on some soul searching.
